House of Books (Kent, CT) Seeks Assistant Manager

Position: Full-Time

House of Books, in Kent, CT, is hiring an Assistant Manager to help run bookstore operations in a town with a literary, arts-oriented, and engaged population.

Okay.

Here is where I would ordinarily write out a long list of desired qualifications...but look, why bother? They're always the same, and if you're crazy enough to want to be an assistant manager in a bookstore, and you've actually WORKED in bookselling, you basically know the stuff you're going to have to do.

What I can offer an exceptional candidate: better-than-average pay, 401k, health insurance (including dental and vision), maybe other stuff I'm forgetting.

The number 1 thing I'm looking for is someone with some moxie. What do you want your job to be? Do you want to get experience with buying, or with events / marketing?
