For New England independent bookstores, NEIBA's Holiday Catalog is both a beloved tradition and an essential marketing tool. The Holiday Catalog is a full-color print and digital catalog produced every holiday season for NEIBA member bookstores. With more than 100 book titles across genres from a diverse array of publishers, the Holiday Catalog is a one-stop-shop for readers looking to gift a book to everyone on their holiday lists!

Imprinting the Holiday Catalog

When you imprint the Holiday Catalog, you can display your store’s logo, website, a coupon — whatever you’d like for just $150! A mock-up of the imprint spaces on the front and back covers appear on the left (at the bottom of the covers). If you do not have the ability to design your own materials, we can assist. Our design fee is $75 per catalog order. Bookstores that order imprinted catalogs will receive proofs in September.

Shipping, Direct & Saturation Mail

In addition to the copies you'll receive at your store, you can also choose to ship copies of the Holiday Catalog to newspapers for insertion (without shipping fees). NEIBA will ship to newspapers of your choice, but please note that stores are entirely responsible for contacting their newspaper partners to coordinate newspaper insertion.

NEIBA also offers Direct and Saturation Mail options: 2026 pricing coming soon! The USPS will deliver copies of the Holiday Catalog to your store’s existing mailing list (direct mail) or to households in the zip codes of your choosing (saturation mail). Placing Your Order

The Holiday Catalog does not ship automatically. You must order your catalogs--the 2026 order form opens July 8th. NEIBA members are eligible to receive up to 12,500 catalogs free of charge (excluding direct mail or imprinting costs). The minimum order is one carton (500 catalogs). Additional cartons can be purchased for $55.

Remember! The Holiday Catalog is a NEIBA member benefit. Please renew your membership ASAP to participate.

Display & Saturation Mail Rebates

A $50 rebate is available to stores who display the catalog and a selection of at least 25 titles for two weeks between Thanksgiving and New Years. To receive your rebate check, e-mail display photos to Elizabeth@NEBA.org by January 15, 2027 OR post a photo to social media during the promotional window. If you post a photo to social media, you must tag @NEIBAbooks and use #HolidayCatalog2026.

NEIBA also offers a rebate for newspaper insertion OR direct saturation mailing via USPS. Send us a copy of your invoice by January 15, 2027 and we will reimburse you for half the cost (up to $300). To qualify, your store must agree to share sales data on Holiday Catalog titles. Store-by-store figures will be kept confidential — the only figures shared with publishers are aggregates for all reporting stores. Sales data must include all Holiday Catalog titles sold from October 27 - December 31, 2026. Please send sales data as a Microsoft Excel grid (or an equivalent format) to Elizabeth@NEBA.org by January 15, 2027.
