Kid Lit All About the Books

NEIBA invites our publisher partners to submit authors for our annual virtual Kid Lit All About the Books event. On average, this event series draws 100 booksellers from across the region who tune in to hear authors speak about their forthcoming titles. All About the Books events are a terrific opportunity to reach frontline booksellers in New England just in time to set the hook for handselling. Like last year, this event will be held as a Zoom webinar and will include an afternoon of education.

For this event, we seek to present a diverse slate of 10 children's author and illustrators. Titles should publish between December 2026 - February 2027.

This virtual event will take place Thursday, January 14, 2027 on NEIBA's Zoom account. Please confirm that your author/illustrator is available to attend before submitting. All selected presenters will be charged a nonrefundable fee of $350. We also ask that you make 30 copies of each title (finished copies or galleys) available for requests. NEIBA will solicit these requests and provide you with the booksellers' contact information.

Participating authors and illustrators will be chosen by the NEIBA Board at the end of November.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, November 20th at 5 PM.

Please note: we do not accept submissions directly from authors. 

Invitations for NEIBA events are determined by the NEIBA Board of Directors.
