Four publishing houses will be in attendance, sponsoring our four meals. The publishers will each be doing something different – some will provide manuscripts for a 2020/2021 title looking for marketing ideas and cover design. Others may have editors on hand to talk about their acquisitions. They are each still working on ideas but this will be an opportunity to spend time with them and your fellow book buyers on focused projects.
A large part of our time together will be in group discussion on challenges, ideas, tips, and discussing books. That agenda will be created by the participants in the retreat.

2:45pm – 5:00pm • Group discussion
5:00pm – 5:30pm • Free time
5:30pm – 7:30pm • Working dinner with publisher
8:00pm • Reception with authors at Oblong Books
Wednesday, March 4
8:30am – 10:30am • Working breakfast with publisher
10:45am – 11:45am • Group discussion
12:00pm – 2:00pm • Working lunch (we are asking everyone to stay through the end)
