New England Independent Booksellers Association (NEIBA) is looking for a new Executive Director.
This is a full time position with a not-for-profit trade association for independent booksellers. The primary responsibility is to implement the association’s strategic plan under the direction of the Board of Directors. Specific responsibilities include coordination of the trade show, consumer book catalog, educational activities, meetings, communication (website, newsletter, and listserv), membership development, public relations, advocacy, and staff management. The position involves traveling. Experience in bookselling, publishing, or related fields is desirable. Proven organizational and financial management skills and understanding of bookselling are necessary. Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal relation skills are essential.
