Norwich Bookstore seeks Assistant Manager - Our wonderful Assistant Manager is leaving to pursue a new career, so we are looking for someone to fill her position. The job involves all facets of the bookstore business including: sales and merchandising; marketing and outreach; events for children and adults; and potentially buying.

This is a 32-40 hour/week position and will require rotation through weekend and evening shifts. Strong writing and computer skills are required. Being an avid reader is a must. Bookstore experience is a plus.

We are looking for a friendly, energetic, organized, and detail-oriented team player who is willing and able to take the ball and run with it!

Wellesley Books seeks a part-time School Liaison (25-28 hours per week) to play a key role in the overall operation of our vibrant, much-beloved bookstore in the heart of Wellesley’s town center. The School Liaison is our key point of contact with the community of educators and school administrators in our market area, and is responsible for all sales to schools and other area institutions. This position calls for a deep knowledge of and love for children’s books, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks and physical job demands (including packing and lifting), along with strong communication skills in both one-on-one and group presentations. The Odyssey Bookshop in South Hadley, MA, is looking for a bookseller, buyer, social media promoter, and events coordinator for our children’s department. The successful candidate will have a background somewhere in the book and/or retail industry, possess patience and energy in equal measure, have a passion for children’s books from picture books to young adult, enjoy working with all ages of the public, be a master of time management, and have lots of social media savvy. General proficiency in Microsoft suite, Google Docs, and Publisher necessary. Weekends and some nights expected. Must have own transportation. This is a full time, salaried position with some benefits. Salary range is $23-25.5k, depending on experience.
