Associate Site Director of Social Enterprise for Bookstore/Café Business

More Than Words (MTW), an exciting and growing nonprofit social enterprise that empowers youth to take charge of their lives by taking charge of a business, seeks a business oriented, entrepreneurial manager to serve as Associate Site Director of Social Enterprise (Waltham, MA), providing operational leadership around all aspects of MTW’s retail and online businesses (which include an online and retail used bookstore and coffee bar).

Assistant Manager – Bookstore – Full-time

Willow Books & Café, one of New England’s largest independent bookstores, is seeking a full-time Assistant Manager.  This position involves supervising a large staff and assisting in management of all aspects of a successful, high-volume, 10,000 square foot bookstore w/café.

Applicants must have retail management experience and some bookstore background.  Customer service skills and a love of books are essential.  E-commerce and social networking skills a plus.  Fast-paced and friendly, professional but non-corporate environment. Experience preferred but intelligence, creativity, and desire to learn are even more important.
