NEIBA Question of the Week #10

The NEIBA Board members are starting a Question of the Week on the NEIBA list serv. The goal is to share everyone's common knowledge about bookselling or anything related to independent bookstores.  It is our hope that after the Board has run through with their questions other members will continue the asking.

This week's question is:

Now that April is upon us and World Book Night is approaching, what are you doing as a bookstore, bookseller or publisher to kick off and promote WBN 2012? And what are some places where you will be giving out your books? - Annie Philbrick, Bank Square Books

Jan Hall, Partners Village Store

We will have more post publicity than pre-publicity.  Our state senator is picking his books up here, and we talked about how publicity can benefit us both.  Our staff will be delivering books to the local jails including the Women’s, Juvenile, and Immigration Detention Centers.  Bristol County’s jail system has a strong literacy component, and the person in charge of that can’t wait to pull out all the stops with publicity.
